Ashish Goyal is the Vice President at the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and has over 25 years of experience in managing exchange operations, capital markets, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
He previously served as the Whole Time Director at Madhya Pradesh Stock Exchange Limited (MPSE), where he played a key role in transforming MPSE from a regional exchange to a national player with a presence across India. During his six years at MPSE, Ashish was involved in every step of the exchange’s growth, including creating a new business model, obtaining regulatory approvals, forming partnerships with NSE and BSE, and driving an aggressive membership campaign that resulted in MPSE’s trading operations restarting after 12 years. In its first year, MPSE added 100 new members, achieved a trading volume of ₹250 crore per day, and launched live trading in 18 states, capturing over 50% of new stock exchange memberships in India in 2012. Ashish has worked with a wide range of stakeholders, including exchanges, regulators, brokers, financial institutions, and investors. Before MPSE, he was a finance professional specializing in project financing, merchant banking, audits, IPO advisory, and management consultancy, and he also served as a Director at a leading cooperative bank in Central India. Ashish qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a commerce degree with a specialization in Mathematics from Nagpur University. He is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification. Ashish Goyal is set to join Blue Aster Capital, where he will leverage his vast expertise in capital markets and strategic leadership to drive the firm's growth and success.
